Train Station Introductions

Chikanaga

This main station of the Yodo Line is famous for green pheasant dishes

This is a main station of the Yodo Line that runs in the space from Uwajima. It has an island platform serving two tracks. In October of 1914 (Taisho 3), the light rail tracks laid out from Uwajima by the former Uwajima Railways were used as a base for the new train station. Although it became unmanned in 1985 (Showa 50), in the present day, tickets are sold on consignment. In addition, Kihoku Town is known for its specialty dish, Kihoku aged green pheasant. The pheasants are raised almost entirely wild, and they have a good reputation for having a light, simple flavor.
