Yoshinobu

Lucky number “12”

The start of operation extending from Chikanaga to Yoshinobu station was on the special sequential date of December 12, 1923 (Taisho 12) under the former Uwajima Railways. During the 1933 railroad nationalization, the route was moved 300 meters from heading towards Matsumaru Station to the present-day location. Furthermore, the station’s name Yoshinobu (吉野生) comes from the combination of Yoshino (吉野) and the region’s name of Warabio (蕨生).
