Train Station Introductions

Wakai

This is the real Yodo Line junction station!

Wakai Station is an unmanned train station built in a rural area with one platform serving one track. It was historically owned by three different companies: originally, it was transferred from the former Japanese National Railways to JR Shikoku on April 1, 1987 (Showa 62), then one year later on April 1, 1988 (Showa 63) it became a station on the Tosa Kuroshio Railway Nakamura Line. The station plays the role as the connecting station of the Yodo Line, with Yodo Line trains feeding into the Tosa Kuroshio Railway and the stretch until Kubokawa.
